Following Hear Me Loud, Nine Forces continues to expand the sound of Jennifer Place, blending deep rhythm, layered textures, live looping, and atmospheric movement into a track built to pull listeners into its own space.

At its core, Nine Forces is a down-groove bumper with a thoughtful message about what is really important in this world. The song centers around nine grounding ideas:

1. Love
2. Loyalty
3. Courage
4. Wisdom
5. Discipline
6. Service
7. Gratitude
8. Joy
9. Faith

The release arrives with a new companion video created by Gary, built entirely from original footage shot specifically for the project. The source footage was captured using a Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro with a Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L II USM prime lens.

All assets were captured in 4K at 60fps using 12-bit BRAW color space, giving the footage the latitude needed for a deeper and more controlled post-production process. The video was edited and finished in Adobe Premiere Pro 26.5.0 BETA Build 37. The beta version was used specifically to take advantage of the new Color mode for grading individual clips, allowing the full post-production pipeline to work from the rich color information available in the 12-bit BRAW source files.

The final look was shaped through significant color correction, compositing, and effects work, with additional plugin tools from Maxon Red Giant used to build the contrast, movement, and visual intensity of the piece. The goal was not to create a simple performance video, but to make a visual extension of the song itself.

All editing, compositing, effects, and color correction were prepared on a Dell Precision 7865 tower workstation featuring a 32-core AMD Threadripper PRO CPU and two AMD Radeon PRO W7900 DS GPUs. The final video was mastered at 1920x1080 HD resolution at 29.97fps.

Nine Forces represents another major step in the Jennifer Place rollout, where music, visuals, live performance, and release planning continue to evolve together as one system.

With Nine Forces now complete, the focus shifts toward upcoming releases The Mountain and Quite The Setup, as Jennifer Place continues building momentum toward Iron Cow this August.

Jennifer Place officially released Hear Me Loud on April 7, 2026.

The track blends an atmospheric backdrop with a driving low end, emotional vocal delivery, and melodic synth movement. The result is a song that feels cinematic, heavy, and uplifting, with a clear sense of release running through it.

In the larger Jennifer Place live set, Hear Me Loud has become one of the clearest resolution points. It carries the performance toward a place of clarity after the darker and more fragmented sections of the set.

Jennifer Place expanded its recording setup tonight to support the growing complexity of the live show.

The technical session focused on moving beyond a 16-channel recording setup and into a 32-channel workflow using the Midas recording system with the DL16 stage box. As the band adds more live looping, synthesizers, vocals, sequencing, drum programming, and electronic performance layers, the goal is to capture each sound source with more separation instead of forcing multiple instruments into the same stereo track.

A major reason for the expansion is Marc’s Elektron Digitakt II. The Digitakt II can function as a drum machine, sampler, sequencer, and performance workstation all at once. Depending on the arrangement, it may eventually need dedicated recording tracks for kick, snare, percussion, bass sequences, samples, FX textures, and MIDI-controlled synth returns.

The same approach was applied to Todd’s RC-505 setup. Previously, multiple instruments such as the Reface CP, Reface CS, and Roland synth were sharing one input path through a small mixer. During the session, that routing was redesigned so the RC-505 Main, Sub 1, and Sub 2 outputs can be used to separate instruments and loops onto dedicated recording channels.

This gives Jennifer Place more flexibility for rehearsal captures, live recordings, future releases, stem creation, visual remixes, and production work.

Result: 32-channel recording is now operational, giving Jennifer Place significantly more track separation, mix control, and production flexibility heading into upcoming shows and releases.

Jennifer Place will appear on the bill with Untitled at Iron Cow Orlando on August 22, 2026. We’re excited to be part of the night and are already planning a set built around deep bass movement, hypnotic grooves, live-looping energy, and atmospheric textures.

The site is being built in a different kind of way. Instead of going through a traditional web design process, the first version was shaped through an AI-assisted creative workflow using OpenClaw. The structure, writing, updates, and layout direction were developed through a back-and-forth process that feels closer to building a live set than filling out a standard website template.

The goal was not to make something overproduced. The site is meant to feel direct, useful, and alive. A place where Jennifer Place can post upcoming shows, share new releases, document studio sessions, and keep a running timeline of how the project is growing.

The soft launch gives the band a starting point. From here, the site can evolve along with the music, adding photos, video, show details, booking information, media kit materials, and new updates as the sound continues to take shape.

Jennifer Place welcomed vocalist Shannon into the room this past weekend for her first session with the band, working on the track Quite The Set Up.

The session started with focused vocal tracking and arrangement work, building out parts and shaping the feel of the song as it continues to develop inside the larger Jennifer Place live set.

After the tracking work, the session opened up into an awesome jam to close things out. Rogier VanEtten was also in on the jam, tag teaming off Todd’s rig and helping push the room into a more spontaneous, connected place.

Shannon shared afterward: “And here’s what I did on Saturday night. It seems I may be back at it!!”

Jennifer Place recently created two new songs, Can’t Wait and Day Before, adding more material to the growing live catalog.

Both songs are part of the band’s ongoing process of building a set that moves between playful, dreamy, reflective, and more driving electronic moments.

These additions continue the band’s focus on live looping, synth textures, bass movement, vocal fragments, and song forms that can stretch or shift during performance.

Jennifer Place performed at Grape & the Grain on Virginia Drive in Orlando with DJ support by Mike House.

The show was presented as an evening of live electronic grooves and visuals, bringing the band’s looping, synths, bass, and live-performance setup into an intimate neighborhood venue setting.
